The St. Regis Wilderness Area is a pond hopper’s
paradise. Many of the carries are short and most routes can be done as
an unencumbered day trip. The classic is the seven carries route, a
nine-mile trek from Little Clear Pond to Paul Smiths, traversing ten
lakes and ponds.
Saranac Inn is no longer in existence, however the golf course still is.
It is an 18-hole course designed by renowned Scottish Pro and Architect
Seymour Dunn. The Saranac Inn Golf and Country Club was awarded 2006
Golf Digest Best Places to Play. The course is within a five-minute
stroll of these properties.
Church Pond is accessible easily year round.
